Lead Your Life - the Path to Empowered Self-Leadership

Welcome to another episode of the Leading with Heart Podcast! In today's episode, we dive deep into the concept of self-leadership. In this episode, I’m sharing my transformative journey from feeling lost and at the mercy of the military to discovering the power of self-leadership.
I reflect on my time in the military, where I found myself playing the game, chasing someone else's definition of success. The result? Burnout, loneliness, and disconnection from my values and purpose. Separating from active duty led me into an identity vacuum, a struggle to find worthiness beyond external validations.
Through a commitment to inner work, I developed the foundational pillars of my self-leadership practices. These pillars became the basis for my Lead Your Life coaching methodology. The program focuses on empowering women, particularly those in military leadership, to lead their lives with intention, connection, and fulfillment.
Five Phases of The Lead Your Life program:
- Identifying Point B: Creating an identity statement and defining the desired future state. Who do you want to be and what kind of life do you want to have? Then we put the systems and habits in place to move you toward that goal.
- Increasing Self-awareness of Point A: Uncovering values, exploring personality with the Enneagram, and understanding emotional indicators. Understanding your inner operating system is key in working WITH yourself, rather than against yourself.
- Breaking Down Barriers: Addressing self-limiting beliefs, choosing empowered language, and developing communication tools to be an advocate for your needs and desires.
- Nourishing Yourself: Applying principles of sustainability, systems, and belief work to your 4 wellness domains - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
- Healing Your Relationship with YOU: Exploring the roots of "not enough" beliefs, managing expectations, and fostering self-compassion.
Throughout the program, participants receive support from a team of coaches, including fitness, accountability, and nutrition coaches. The community aspect is emphasized, providing a network of like-minded women on a shared journey.
I encourage you to consider your own point A and point B, and apply the 5 phases to your personal growth journey. Whether choosing to go on a solo path or seeking the support of a program like Lead Your Life, the key is to embrace progress over perfection and cultivate self-leadership for a fulfilling life.
