79. Why I Built the Lead Your Life App (and Why It’s for You)

Sep 03, 2025

I can hardly believe it’s been five years since I first started working with women in the military community. What began in 2020 as online yoga classes during the chaos of the pandemic has grown into retreats, workshops, challenges, and the Strong and Resilient Women Facebook community.

Over the years, one truth has become clear: while we’re capable of incredible things, many of us struggle to consistently prioritize ourselves. And I wanted to do something about that.

The Barriers We Face

When I talk with women in the military community—whether they’re service members, veterans, retirees, or spouses—I hear the same four challenges again and again:

  1. I don’t have enough time.

  2. I feel guilty taking time for myself.

  3. I start strong, but I lose momentum.

  4. I’m so used to putting everyone else first.

These aren’t just personal struggles; they’re systemic challenges woven into our culture. And yet, I believe with the right tools and community, we can overcome them.

The Birth of the Lead Your Life App

That’s why I created the Lead Your Life App, a one-stop space where self-care, coaching, and community come together. Unlike random wellness apps, this app was built for us, with the unique pressures of military life in mind.

Inside, you’ll find:
Monthly missions to keep you focused and consistent
Bite-sized tools (think 5–15 minutes) that actually fit into your day
Accountability features like streaks and tracking
A supportive community of women who get it

This isn’t about fluffy self-care tips. It’s about real, practical tools that help you break through guilt, rewrite old patterns, and learn how to advocate for your needs.

What You’ll Experience

Every month, new content is released around a theme. In September, we’ll dive into core values. In October, it’s all about identity-based change. November will focus on self-compassion and regulation, perfect for the cozy season.

There’s also a meditation library (quick resets, not hour-long commitments), journaling prompts, self-paced courses like the Atomic Habits Bootcamp, and even live workshops and challenges.

Why This Matters

I know how easy it is to put your own care at the bottom of the list. But when we do, everyone around us feels it. The Lead Your Life App was created to flip that script—so you can care for yourself first, and show up for the people and missions that matter most with more energy, clarity, and confidence.

Ready to Join?

The app officially launches September 8th, and I couldn’t be more excited. Whether you’re brand-new to my work or you’ve been part of the community since the early days, I’d love to invite you in.

This is more than an app, it’s a movement. And I built it for you.
